Welcome to St. Timothy's!

Thank you for considering joining us here at Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church! We hope that all the answers you seek can be found within this page, but you can reach out to us with the form at the bottom of this page if you have further questions. We cordially invite you you join us online or in person when you are ready.

Want to know more?

Episcopalians believe that God loves you – no exceptions. The Episcopal Church embraces a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; people of all colors, genders, and sexual orientations serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy work together in leadership and governance. The history of the church is nonconformist with the mainstream sects, we encourage thoughtful worship instead of blind adherence to dogma. (rewrite better into own words, maybe expand on points?) Part of main Angilican verbage add

  • Liberal, conservative, neither, or somewhere in between?
    • Any politics involved here at church are found only in the lessons of the Bible. Leave the politics of our mortal realm outside our doors as we gather together in mutual worship of our Lord, Jesus Christ!

  • Young or old?
    • We welcome all ages here! We offer a school for our youngest members during our 10AM service while even the oldest will find welcoming joy and support.

  • LGBTQ or not?
    • All are welcome here regardless of who you are, where you come from, or even what you believe. Be at ease here so long as you, like Christ, are welcoming to all humanity in their myriad faces. Intolerance is the only thing not welcomed here by us and our Lord. The only thing we want from you is your open heart and mind.

We have no dress code other than dressed so as Jesus said, come as you are!

You may find that our 8AM service is a familiar comfort in structure and prose if you like the Catholic format, just not necessarily their requirements.

Great! All are welcome through our doors. One or both of our pastors would be more than happy to help you find the answers to those questions, or teach you the first steps on how you can find those answers for yourself through Christ. Even if you decide that here might not be the answer you sought, we will be gladdened and made better just by your openness to talk with us and wish you well on your journey!

Fantastic! We offer a Sunday School program for children ages ? to ?? at our 10 AM service where your children can gather for engaging lessons and fun play with others  their age. They’ll have a great time and you can leave that worry in our teacher’s care so you can bring all your other burdens to our Teacher worry free.

Yes and no. While the message is the same at both, our 8AM service is more traditionalist with it’s message coming from the King James Version (KJV) Bible. The 10AM service follows the New International Version (NIV) Bible and is easier to grasp if you are new to our faith or just like not having to translate thees, thys, and thous as you listen!

Holy Communion, also known as the Eucharist which Jesus instituted on the night he was betrayed, is a ceremony where all worshipers are welcome to receive blessed bread and wine, representing the body and blood of Christ, as a remembrance of Jesus' death and resurrection. All are welcome to partake of this ceremony, but you are also free to choose not to if you do not feel comfortable or unsure. If you are mobility impaired, notifying one of our church staff will allow the priest to come to you so you can participate too.

  • Please stay home and get better. We understand that you want to be here, but joining us remotely from home is the best way to show your love for your fellow mortals as even Jesus experienced a cold. Unlike Him, a quick prayer from us to Father won’t cure our colds or keep them from our community. Sharing communion with our Lord and your fellows is a great expression of caring, but sharing your transmittable illness…
  • Your child can still join with their friends through our interactive classroom(link) and your fellow parents will appreciate the less snifflers!

Of course! We have events that happen throughout the year and any upcoming events can be found on the events page(link) or on our social media pages(link). We also have a couple groups which can be found here(link) and may add more as interest grows.

There are zero obligations on your part beyond general civilized behavior. We hope that you will become comfortable enough here to actively be a part of our community and thrive, but we know everybody’s needs are different and will respect your choice to worship with us as you are able. This is a decision made by you as your relationship with our Lord desires; our church is just a place to hopefully bring you just a bit closer in that relationship and maybe grant you a few mortal companions on your journey for God did not create us to walk alone.

Of course! Whether it’s just being an active member of our congregation or joining a group or activity, you will always be welcome to grow with us. Whenever you feel ready, or maybe just when you feel like you want to push past your comfort zone, we have multiple ways in which you can volunteer your service with us which you can find more information about here(link). There is no pressure to do so and you will never be pressured to do what you don’t want to. Go at your own pace, this isn’t a race.

That’s not a problem! Our church is fully ADA compliant (verify this statement, unsure if bathrooms are compliant). While we don’t have a mobile pickup service, we may be able to find someone willing and able to help you attend church if you let reach out. While it’s not a guarantee, we will try our best to accommodate you! If you are unable to make it to church at all but would still like to receive communion, reach out to us and our mobile ministry may be able to make that happen!

We have a mobile ministry to deliver communion and words of comfort to those of our community whom cannot make it to our normal services.

No. Money is a fact and necessity of our world, but we are far more concerned with bringing joy and salvation to our fellow mortals than we are with the pursuit of coin. You’ll find no private clerical jets here. Unfortunately, our world does require money for such small things as air conditioning and keeping the roof on so said air stays with us and not our desert oasis, so you will see a collection plate coming around during the service. You are under NO OBLIGATION to give, so give only if you feel the Spirit compelling you to do so. Our service is absolutely free and always will be. We do this for no earthly reward and no thought of gain, only to bring the Word to all those who wish to hear it.
